Is Invoita really free?
Yes, and there is no paid tier hiding behind it. Unlimited invoices, quotes, estimates and receipts; PDF download with no watermark; unlimited clients and products; custom templates with your logo and colours; 25 currencies; expenses, time tracking and reports. No credit card, and no feature locked away.
What is the catch?
There isn't one. Invoita is early and the priority is people using it, not revenue. Everything listed on this page is free, and nothing you can do now will be taken away and sold back to you.
Do I need an account?
Not to make an invoice. The generator works with no signup at all: fill it in, download the PDF, done. An account is worth it if you invoice more than once — it saves your invoices, clients, products and templates, tracks what has been paid, and turns the next invoice into a two-click job.
Does Invoita send the invoice to my client?
No. You download the PDF and send it from your own email, or copy the invoice's share link and send that. It is better this way: the invoice arrives from your address rather than a platform's, it lands in the inbox instead of the promotions tab, and your client can just hit reply.
Can my clients pay through Invoita?
No, and Invoita never touches your money. You put your own payment details on the invoice — bank transfer, a payment link you created yourself, card, cash — and your client pays you directly. There is no cut taken, no payout delay and no account to verify.
How do I know when I've been paid?
You mark it. Once you have sent the invoice yourself, mark it as sent; when the money arrives, record a full or partial payment and Invoita tracks the balance, flags anything past its due date as overdue, and shows the totals in your reports. If you shared the invoice link, it also tells you when your client opened it.
Is there a limit on how many invoices I can create?
No. Unlimited invoices, unlimited clients, unlimited products, on the free plan, which is the only plan. Some tools cap the free tier at three or five invoices and then ask for a card — that is the thing this does not do.
What happens to my invoices if I stop using Invoita?
They stay in your account and every one of them can still be downloaded as a PDF. In most jurisdictions you are required to keep issued invoices for several years, so it is worth exporting the PDFs you need regardless of which tool you move to.
